Tauranga Hospital - Sleep Physiologist
Clinical Physiology Team

1.0FTE (80 hours per fortnight)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and innovative sleep physiologist, with relevant experience who enjoys working as part of a team.
The post holder will be responsible for developing and delivering a safe and effective diagnostic and therapeutic sleep service. They will also take responsibility for the delivery of a service that aims to improve clinical outcomes, the patient experience and manage change and innovation in the service.
A postgraduate qualification or equivalent in Physiology or a related subject and extensive experience in a sleep laboratory is required.
The post holder will be competent in interpretation of respiratory sleep studies (oximetry and respiratory polygraphy) and polysomnography as well as in the initiation and follow-up of patients on CPAP therapy and non-invasive ventilation for chronic hypercapnic respiratory failure.
The expectations are to oversee the day-to-day running of the laboratory and to join a multidisciplinary team including consultants, clinical scientist, physiologists and nurses.
